Today I found out that the old deprecated Shout has been replaced with ezstream – and beyond it having a far sexier name is has also inheired shouts compilation problems on FC4 systems. Default install barfs up following message when trying to configure:
..
checking shout/shout.h usability… no
checking shout/shout.h presence… no
checking for shout/shout.h… no
configure: error: must have libshout installed!
And I do have shout.h installed in /usr/include/!! But alas it looks in shout/shout.h – problem solved by making a shout folder in /usr/include and copy shout.h into it.
Simple solution, but it took me some an hour to figure out, while I tried different includepaths.. 🙁
